Firstly, thank you for your order which we very much appreciate.

If you placed your order using a Proforma Invoice - Please hand this to your accounts department for payment by Bacs, our details will be shown on the invoice, alternatively If you want to pay by Debit/Credit card please telephone us on 01371 879642. Once payment has been made please email info@lewislightingandelectrical.co.uk to confirm your payment, quoting your order reference number, the order date & the amount

Please note that the Proforma Invoice is only valid for 7 days!

If you placed your order on our Web Site - may we remind you that when you placed your order, that you clicked the box agreeing to our Terms & Conditions plus the Delivery Requirements, the salient points of which are repeated below.

Deliveries are normally made Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5.30pm and are not timed.
All pallet deliveries, including Cable, Solar Panels & Batteries and large bulky items will require two fit and able persons for off-loading.
The delivery driver is not our employee and is only insured to deliver the goods to the curb side and is not there to offload and carry the goods into your premises.
Additionally, pallets are strapped with metal or plastic strapping and so you must have suitable tools (pliers or wire cutter) that can cut through this.
Large and very heavy pallets cannot be unloaded on a tail lift and must be offloaded from the side of the vehicle by fork lift truck or by hand.
Remember, pallet deliveries are often made with large articulated trucks, so will not be able to go on narrow streets. Deliveries to very narrow or poor access addresses may result in delays or additional costs.
We must also draw your attention to delivery waiting times. If you are not available to receive your order, the driver will not wait and you will incur a further delivery charge.
As previously mentioned, the above is a guide only.
Delivery times shall not be the essence of any order or contract and we cannot be held liable for delays.

If you placed your order over the phone - may we remind you of the instructions that our representative gave to you when you placed the order. These are repeated above.

May we also remind you that should the delivery fail due to the above not being adhered to, then you will need to pay the re-delivery cost to have the vehicle return to you with the pallet. Please note that this will probably not be the same day as the original delivery.

Additionally, and for your own protection

You must sign for receipt of your pallet and when you do this, it is automatically assumed and recorded as you have received it as "Received in Good Condition". Due to the carriers Covid policies, your signing maybe a verbal "my name is" to the driver. However, all of the above still applies.

Therefore, when you receive the delivery, you must inspect for any damage and if damage is found, you must sign that there is damage. If due to Covid, you are verbally signing, then you must tell the driver to annotate on his record that the delivery is damaged. If you do not sign as damage and later damage is found and claimed, then we will not be able to accept any claims for damage goods. Once again, the Covid policy may mean that your signing is verbal and will be recorded as such.

Any claim for damage must initially be by telephoning 01371 879642 on the same day as the delivery. Following this we must receive photos by emailing info@lewislightingandelectrical.co.uk of the damage claimed and this must be by 12 noon the following day at the very latest.

All of these instructions are to help you and ensure that you receive your order in the smoothest possible manner
