The GLS light bulb shape hasn’t changed much since Thomas Edison patented the iconic shape in 1885.
GLS stands for “General Lighting Service” and the shape of the bulb means they can fit directly into most of your common found lighting fixtures without too much effort.
LED technology’s introduction has allowed it to expand to a wide range of LED GLS variations with warm white, cool white or daylight colours - and a range of different styles from opal to clear LED filament with dimmable LED versions available. We stock lamps ranging from 4W to 22W and these can produce energy efficient light at a fraction of the cost of conventional lamps.
